I first tried using the planner without them and just about the time you get the feel on when the boards are going into the machine flat the roller grab the board. With these extensions I get totally clean boards around every time. I really feel this item should be sold with the planner. This causes the bit of vibration down the board causing the first few inches of planning to be a bit rough.
This should come with the planer at no extra cost. its like buying a car and having to buy the spare tire.
The table is well designed and easy to install and/or remove. Dewalt should be aware of its necessity, and the current steep price of the planer should allow for its inclusion. The Dewalt infeed/outfeed table is a necessity in order to minimize snipe and improve the functionality of the DW735 planer. My only complaint is that the table is not automatically included with the purchase of the planer.
These extensions are well-made, do exactly what they are supposed to do and can be removed easily without tools. But I still feel that they should have been included with the planer, as with other similarly priced products, since its unusable without them.
